As SWS Broadband balloons continue to fly over the Shropshire hills we wanted to say a huge thank you to the people of Church Stretton for making us so welcome on Saturday.

Church Stretton Family Fun Day proved to be as big a hit with our team – Rachel, Sam & Pam – as it did with the hundreds of visitors to Sandford Avenue Park.

From making a cuppa for the RAF Shawbury helicopter pilots, to offering a water stop to thirsty dogs, we had a fantastic day. Throw in a few goodie bags, squidgy cows and of course those SWS branded balloons and it’s perhaps no surprise we were so busy! And it was great to be able to update local people on all things gigabit and when they can expect to go live with our super-fast fibre broadband.

We were very proud to sponsor the main stage and well placed to see and hear the wonderful entertainment throughout the day – there’s some real talent out there!

So thanks again Church Stretton Town Council for organising such a wonderful day and making us feel a real part of the community – same time next year?

Oh yes, and the winner of our Guess the Name of the Cow competition? It was Carol from Craven Arms who correctly guessed she is called Buttercup.
