Clun Carnival 2023
Rain was never going to dampen our spirits at Clun Carnival on Saturday.
The annual event, which last year was bathed in sunshine, was a soggy affair but participants rallied round to ensure a brilliant day was enjoyed by everyone.
The colourful parade that snaked its way around the town was sponsored by SWS Broadband, and our very own Pam was on hand to present certificates and cups to float winners.
Happy to throw themselves into the event, Pam and colleague Sam even joined in, rattling collection buckets as residents braved the weather and lined the streets to cheer on the Carnival parade.
There was a steady stream of visitors to the SWS stand on the show field, with lots of interest in our lightning-fast full fibre broadband coming soon to Clun. And again our squidgy cows and goody bags were a real hit.
Pam said: “The challenging weather was such a shame for organisers who had put so much time and effort into the event. But the wind and rain didn’t deter us, and we were happy to do our bit and be part of what was in fact a wonderful community event.”
Thanks to everyone in Clun and on the Carnival committee for making us feel so welcome.
